• Apr 28 Wed Dad played in the band on the lawn of the University mansion. 
• During intermission he met Raymon Ross Paty (President of the University of Alabama) an his daughters, Mary and Jane, along with Senator Hill, (head of Army Affairs Committee in Washington) And the Govenor of Alabama, Chauncy M. Sparks. Pictures were sent home later with a warning to his mom not to let June see the one with Dad standing with President Paty's daughters

• Jul 23 Dad writes he is flying a Taylor Cub
• Nov 13 June McLain and Charles Grosh Married in Vernon Texas

• Ground school over, Has 35 hrs in “this plane” Flying formations now, hard.
• Going back to Ground school to tear down an Allison “Just for fun”
• June sent pic of Charles at basic training

to the graduation dance in town. (this was 16 mo before I was born, was she preg with Richard?)

Victorville California for P35 training and mentioned that Gale and Wend.
